No! Under Indian Central Motor Vehicle Rules (CMVR), electric two-wheelers fitted with a 250W motor and a maximum speed capped at 25 km/h are classified as Non-RTO low-speed electric vehicles. You do NOT require a driving license, vehicle registration, road tax, or pollution certificate (PUC).
All VOLNEX electric scooters come with an intelligent portable auto-cut charger. You can plug it into any standard 5A or 15A household three-pin socket (the same socket you use for charging a laptop or phone). It takes approximately 3 to 4 hours for a 100% full charge.
A full battery charge consumes approximately 1.2 to 1.5 units of electricity. Depending on your state's electricity tariff (~₹6 to ₹8 per unit), a full charge costs around ₹8 to ₹12 and gives you 75 to 90 km of range! That equals an astonishingly low running cost of just 18 to 20 paise per km.
VOLNEX provides a 3-Year Comprehensive Replacement Warranty on the advanced Lithium-ion battery pack and a 1-Year Comprehensive Warranty on the waterproof 250W BLDC Hub Motor and Electronic Controller.
